Your data

Privacy policy

This policy explains what SpeakDoch processes when you use the website, onboarding, AI tutor, and paid subscription.

Effective August 16, 2026

1. Who is responsible

SpeakDoch, operating SpeakDoch, is the controller for the personal data described here. SpeakDoch operates from Germany. Privacy questions and data-rights requests can be sent to [email protected].

2. Data we process

  • Account data, such as your email address, sign-in method, and encrypted password.
  • Purchase data, such as plan, subscription status, Stripe customer ID, and checkout status. SpeakDoch does not receive your full card number.
  • Learning data, such as your level, goals, preferences, saved words, lesson activity, tutor settings, and progress.
  • Content you submit, including messages, recordings, images, or documents used for language practice.
  • Technical and marketing data, such as IP address, browser, device, page events, campaign parameters, and advertising identifiers.

3. Why we use it

We process data to provide and personalize SpeakDoch, create and manage your account and subscription, secure the service, answer support requests, improve product performance, and measure advertising. The legal bases are performance of our contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it.

4. AI, speech, and service providers

To provide the service, relevant data may be processed by vendors that support payments, hosting, email delivery, authentication, analytics, advertising, AI generation, and speech. These include Stripe for checkout and subscriptions, Google for optional Google sign-in, Meta for advertising measurement, ElevenLabs for selected voice previews, and the AI or speech providers used by the feature you choose.

Do not submit sensitive information that is unnecessary for language practice. Automated output can be inaccurate and should be checked before relying on it.

5. Advertising measurement

SpeakDoch currently uses Meta Pixel and server-side Conversions API events to understand whether ads lead to visits, onboarding progress, trials, and purchases. Meta may receive technical and event data and may combine it with data it already holds under its own privacy terms. Browser controls, content blockers, and Meta account settings may limit this processing.

6. International transfers and retention

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We retain account and learning data while your account is active and afterward only as needed for legal, security, dispute, or backup purposes. Payment records may be retained for statutory accounting periods.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent for future processing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Security, children, and changes

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. SpeakDoch is not directed to children under 16 without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. We will update this page when material practices change and show a new effective date.
